Discover the wines of the Centre Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire, France
Wednesday, Sept. 2-12, 2015
Explore France’s finest wine producing region in a 10-day journey to the Loire Valley.
We'll stay at a luxurious 19th century mill, Le Moulin Bregeon B&B, in what 16th century writer and satirist, Rabelais came to call the ‘Garden of France’.
You'll immerse yourself in French culture while tasting some of the well-regarded local vintages - Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, Vouvray, Chinon and Bourguiel - paired with regional delicacies.
Wander small vinyards and discuss growing methods with the winemakers.
Our host, Jonathan Robinson will introduce you to the art and architecture of the region. Enjoy mushroom and antique hunting, chateaux and caves. Bike ride through troglodytes and vineyards. Take an enchanting boat ride through picturesque scenery. Shop for local ingredients at the farmers’ market and then a hands on cooking class.
